Cilgerran Castle

Cilgerran Castle is set  on the hill over looking the Teifi.  Its was built around 1220 by the son of the Earl of Pembrokeshire.  Unfortunately most of the outer wall is missing but that doesn’t detract from the lovely view and picture postcard setting of the castle. Cilgerran is about 15mins drive from Poppit Sands
