Not before time I have to say, but Saturday the 5th May 2012 marks the official opening of The Wales Coast Path. There are a number of events being help to mark the opening in Aberystwyth, Cardiff and Flint. The environment minister Mr John Griffiths will open the path officially at the Cardiff celebrations.
The Wales Coast Path has taken 5 years to create, now I just need to find a map.
The events are open to the public and are from 11am – 4pm at Roald Dahl Plass in Cardiff Bay, Aberystwyth Prom and Flint Castle.
I think we will hold the Poppit Sands celebrations in the Webley without any TV presenters or Politicians
Joking apart about the map , there is a excellent website with details of walks and locations along the way. It sectioned into places of interest and well worth a quick visit. Now how long will it be before we hear of the Welsh Coastal Path endurance run ? I look forward to manning the feed station at Poppit !
